Comparison

Zyntra vs testmail.app

Both give you addresses that need no setup and an API to read the mail, and paid plans cost the same. The difference is who reads the email: testmail.app goes further for pure CI (GraphQL, live queries, spam reports, many users), while Zyntra keeps mail longer and lets people and AI agents read it on every plan.

Which one fits

Choose testmail.app if

  • Your tests need GraphQL, live queries or spam reports.
  • Several people need their own logins, or you need SSO and an SLA.
  • You receive more than 50,000 test emails a month.

Choose Zyntra if

  • People open test mail in a browser and you don't want to pay for Pro to get a viewer.
  • Test mail has to stay around: up to 90 days in inboxes you create.
  • Your tests want the links from an email without parsing HTML.
  • An AI agent should read test email through MCP, with no way to send.
  • You need a free plan with 150 emails a month.

Questions

Is moving from testmail.app a big change?
The model is the same: build an address in code, send to it, read it back over HTTP. You change the address format and the read call. The Playwright and Cypress guides show the Zyntra side in full.
Does Zyntra have live queries like testmail.app?
Not in the same form. /emails/last waits up to 30 seconds for the first email to an address. For a second email to the same address, your test asks again until the newest one is the one it expects.
